<image:caption>Lake Country Clean Waters is dedicated to promoting the conservation of Lake Country's lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater. We strive to achieve our goal by promoting communication and acting as a sounding board for special districts, associations, conservation groups, municipalities, and community members. We host quarterly meetings, the annual Healthy Lakes Conference and the Lake Country Clean Water Festival to keep the community informed of important water-related issues. We are a 501c3 organization that runs entirely off of donations. Your contribution will be used toward the conservation of Lake Country's beautiful and important waterways. Please consider making a donation out of goodwill and support for the health of our lake, river, and stream ecosystems!</image:caption>

TASTE & SEA an Aquatic Site:(current speed, invertebrate populations, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and density/salinity). Then I SEE the chemistry of water and its relationship to life. Taste & Sea - Taste & See.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Lake Country Clean Water Festival - Lake Country Clean Water Festival Save the Date: June 27, 2026 10:00 am – 7:00 pm Lakefront Park - Pewaukee, WI</image:title>
<image:caption>Since 2011, the festival has focused on raising awareness for the increasing need to preserve Lake Country’s waterways and raising money for cleanup efforts so we can all enjoy the fun and beauty that the lakes bring to our community. The festival has also provided opportunities for all to enjoy the many recreational activities that our lakes afford from learning to water ski, pontoon boat rides, our education tent and workshops on the beach, to paddle sports and more! This event is brought to the community through the generous sponsorship of A.O. Smith Foundation and Green Bay Packer Foundation</image:caption>

<image:title>Volunteer Activities - Water Quality Monitoring - OWPP Mud Chaser Program</image:title>
<image:caption>The Oconomowoc Watershed Protection Program (OWPP) monitors water quality at various locations in the watershed. This long-term monitoring is essential to our program progress and is a requirement of our Adaptive Management Program utilized to gain compliance with Wisconsin DNR. One important system of monitoring utilized is a volunteer network in a program called Mud Chasers. In this program, volunteers have assigned areas where they observe water quality and take samples during and after storm events. They report their observations and data gathered to the OWPP Director. This is an opportunity for someone who is interested in volunteering on a long-term basis rather than just a seasonal commitment. Equipment used for this monitoring is supplied by the OWPP. The OWPP has other volunteers that include event support and marketing. If interested, please contact Erik Joost at 262-4190-2222 or email Ejoost@oconomowoc-wi.gov.</image:caption>
