Julie has lived her life spending as much time outdoors as possible.  Born, raised, and still lucky enough to live on Pine Lake, she was taught by her Grandmother and Mother to respect, observe and learn from Nature.  Julie studied biology at UWM and has spent her adult life working for and with conservation organizations locally and statewide, and is an active proponent of experiential education as a means to raise awareness of what the natural world can teach us, the interconnectedness of all life, and ecology of place.  Julie raised her four boys with what she hopes are the same ideals.  Julie is also a Master Gardener, an avid vegetable gardener, and a budding Native Plant expert.
